Toyota began sponsoring it in 1980, when the match was moved to
Tokyo, but the contest began in 1960 as the InterContinental Cup,
and Rothmans Yearbook (the soccer bible) still call it that. United
knew it as the World Club Championship of course in 1968, but the
new competition, FIFA Teams World Championship to give it the 'official'
title, confuses everyone now. We accept the Rothmans version, and
show us as Winners 1999 Runners Up 1968.
