Subject: Charlton Right then, for those people in possession of Charlton away tickets for tomorrow, here are a few ideas for pre-match drinkies etc. First of all, how to get there - some very sad person has actually spent a great deal of time putting together a Website about Greenwich, and included on it are details on how to get there. The URL is: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/APalmer/transport.htm This should be enough to tell people how to get there - it might be worth checking the engineering works details as there are some going on, but even if the trains are not running properly, there will be a service running that will get you there. My suggestion is to meet in the Firkin pub that is near the cinema (opposite if memory serves) as everyone knows what they look like, and it is easy to find. I will be banging on the door at 12 noon. After this, then perhaps a pub crawl of sorts - there are loads of pubs around, so once people have met etc then everyone can move on to some more drinking establishments. There is a map of Greenwich here: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/APalmer/greenmap.htm The Firkin pub is near to the market shown on the map in the middle of that square road bit! So there you have it, the definitive guide to drinking in Greenwich…see you there perhaps.. Getting to the ground from Greenwich can be done either via a cab (loads of black cabs around normally) which will take about 10 minutes, or by the 177 or 180 bus which will take about 15 minutes. Same story getting back afterwards, although cabs will be harder to come by. Hope all this helps... Cheers Kerry

Subject: Zidane blow imminent for United? «« Manchester United's long-running battle, to prise French World Cup star Zinedine Zidane from Italian giants Juventus, looks like receiving a huge blow with reports indicating that the midfield maestro is set to join Inter Milan. Juve boss Marcello Lippi is joining Inter at the end of the season, and it appears that Zidane will opt for a move to the San Siro to join up with Lippi. Furthermore, Brazilian ace Ronaldo, a shareholder at Inter, has also done his bit to tempt Zidane to his club. He stated: "Zidane is the man I want alongside me at Inter because I know he will supply me with chances to score goals." Money is another area where Inter are a step ahead of United, with the Italians said to be offering Zidane shares in the club which amount to a five percent stakeholding. However, Zidane is giving nothing away about where his future lies. "I could go to Inter or stay where I am - or even move abroad," he said. "The alternatives are all appealing and its going to need some careful thought before I make up my mind."

Subject: Gary Neville v L'pool I can indeed verify that fine performance from Gary Nev. He ran over after we scored and stood about 30 yards from the K Stand goal, facing the scousers. He then proceeded to jump up and down, punch the air and generally go mad, which, as you can imagine, rather annoyed the massed ranks of Liverpool fans! Better than that was a certain David Beckham, who happended to retrieve the ball when Berger sliced his free kick hopelessly wide in the dying seconds. Becks went right up to the advertising hoardings to get the ball, and just sat back punching the air in triumph, looking directly at the scousers with a massive grin on his face. This was not received very well, and brought a hail of coins (must cashed their dole cheques the day before) and even a chair that had been ripped out of the ground. Becks carried on standing there for a few seconds before turning away, giving a quick salute to the United section, and jogging back to the pitch! Gary Nev and Becks - respect! They are just fans who happen to be quite good at football, long may it continue... Cheers Kerry
