Fans' groups were hoping that the League would be against the media group taking over Britain's biggest club to aid their bid to block it. But now Premier League spokesman Mike Lee says it cannot turn its back on United over such issues. Lee said: "It would be wrong to trade support on other issues."

Super Sub Ole Celebrates the winner! Subject: Andy Andy Andy Sorry to chime in on the never ending Andy Cole debate but.... I think Andy suffers from 2 problems. 1) He scored so many goals for Newcastle that when he came here he was supposed to score 50 at least, when he didnt he was deemed a failure. The press and all the other assorted ABu's would never give the man credit for what de's DONE just abuse for what's he HASN'T done, despite their (not ours) unrealistic expectations. So now he's got the rep, unjustly, as a failure. 2) He used to have the tendency to miss some sitters. Regardless of the fact that he scored so many, and got in position to have so many opportunities, and set up his teammates, he did miss a relatively easy chance or 2. He has greatly cut down on this and his game has improved in so many ways, he is immeasurable better than when he started at MUFC. But missing a siiter just reinforce #1 above and the wankers in the press just love showing his misses on the tube and writing about his failings, that no matter how many goals he scores short of an injury time winner in the european cup final, it will never be enough for them. So after seeing the brilliant play he made boxing out Heggem ( I think) to get in position to lay a pass on a silver platter for our man Yorke or tap in, on Sunday, I say THE HELL WITH THEM, he doesn't need the recognition of the press or the ABU's or even that dope Hoddle (what makes him such a great coach anyway?? Has he ever won anything????) Andy is our man, THE MAN, soul brother #1.. all the best John web dude
