back layer of the photo. He has blurred the photo and managed
to keep Beckham sharp around this - this is good use of filters.
The hardest bit on this layer was to use the history to bring
back the colour only on Becks - this is very precise and
takes patience. The next layer using beck`s face, again he has
employed this technique to good effect but the main selling
point of this layer is NO HALO around his face, he has cropped it perfectly.

Bearing in mind that most people want these pictures for their
wallpaper it makes graphical sense to not be "in your face" with
hideous loud colours.
This image is an excellent example of subtlety with style. He has done
an impecable job of cropping beckham away from the background there
is NO halo or excess pixels!
Also the use of the champions league logo represents exactly where we
are in the world - champions.
The only critisism and I am being picky because it is so good, is the shirt
could have been uniform sepia instead of the grey in the middle. But hey
its only my thoughts.   Great Job!   -- Sam
